Hello Friday! Another week come and gone and the last weekend in January is here. Crazy. I hope January has served you in every way you needed it to, and that you kicked off twenty-seventeen on an amazing note. Keep the energy that January and a New Year provides and carry it with you for the rest of the year. There are eleven more months to make amazing!
As always, happy weekend! Enjoy whatever plans you have in store and enjoy my Friday finds below!
Adventure Is Out There // If you follow me on Instagram, then you saw me share a snippet of this post with you guys on Instagram stories the other day. I said it then and I will say it again - this article is everything and more. It hit me on a really personal level, and the more I read it, the more I felt like the author and I aligned so much. The message she was sending really struck a chord with me in the best possible way. Line after line, my heart just kept saying 'yes. yes. yes.' I took a lot away from this article, and I feel like anyone who reads it will too. I strongly urge you to take a couple minutes from your busy life to read this. It is just one article, but I feel like it's words have the power to really change an outlook or heal a heart.
Hygge // Ever since reading 'The Happiness Project', I've been really hooked on this idea of what is happiness, what it means to be happy, and how we can influence our own happiness. When I first saw this article, I was intrigued because I had no idea what 'Hygee' was, and then I was even more intrigued when I discovered that it had to do with happiness related to when we feel most comfortable and at home. Definitely has the potential to be an interesting read. I just might have to add it to my 'to-read' list!
101 Simple Pleasures // I'm really on a happiness kick lately! Totally coincidental I might add, but like they always say, it really is the simple things that often bring us the most happiness. Just reading through this list made me happier and made me think of the simple pleasures that bring me happiness (many of my own were on this list). If you're ever feeling down, I'm sure even just making your own list of simple pleasures would boost your own happiness!
