Reading has always served me as an escape, a stress reliever, and most importantly a source of joy. I think it goes without saying, but with the current craziness surrounding this pandemic, I think we need all of the above - more now than ever.
As horrible as this entire situation is, a beautiful thing is that it has everyone slowing down, leaving more time to enjoy the things we love. That means more slow mornings and easy evenings with a book in tow. In these hard, hard days that is a silver lining.
I had already planned on sharing a spring reading list, as I have been big into reading since the start of the year, so this post includes that. However, I also decided to round up all of my favorite reads in case anyone was looking for a recommendation. They are the books that over the years have brought me immense joy, a new outlook, tears of happiness & sadness, and have transported me to different places and time periods. I hope they serve you in the same way they have served me.
Stay safe, stay inside, and happy reading. All my love during this time!
