Hi! This is a new style of post, but one that I think might find itself a permeant place here on Faith & Fancy. It was born out of a need and want to share all these things & ideas that are floating around in my head, and not knowing how to get them out to you all. It's basically a brain dump of new & noteworthy things that I've been meaning to share, or things that seem more urgent ... and by urgent I mean great sales that must not be missed!
If this feels unorganized and all over the place, it probably is. ha. Welcome to the inside of my mind! Nonetheless I think it's the most efficient way to get out the variety of things I think are worthy of sharing. I hope you enjoy!

Alright friends, at this point you know the drill. The Shopbop sales are some of the best in the game, and in true fashion this one has some exceptional pieces. My advice is always pretty consistent when it comes to tackling these sales - in my opinion, now is the time to either stock up on basics, i.e denim, outerwear, footwear, or it's the time to splurge on something that is a higher ticket item.
What are your passions?
It's a question that I've often been intimidated by. One that I have never felt quite confident enough to answer. Upon hearing the question, my answers slowly simmer inside - I know them, they are there - but there's a doubt keeps me quiet. A tiny voice that says, but they aren't quite big enough, or important enough, or good enough.
I was asked recently what my passions are, but was saved from answering by a swift change in the course of conversation. But it's a moment I've kept coming back to in the days following.
It always feels a little bit unnatural talking about fall before Labor Day weekend has come and gone, however I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel a little bit excited for what's to come. As we all know, I'm a summer girlie through and through, but as the summer starts to wane, I can start to appreciate the changes that a new season brings in.

The South of France is a luxe travel destination but with its proximity to the Mediterranean there is still a breeziness to the styles worn. Think lots of linen, flowy dresses, swimwear & chic coverups, straw bags galore, and stylish sun protection.
I've been doing a lot of thinking lately & reflecting on this idea that nothing is permanent. A very broad claim, but one that can be applied to a multitude of situations and components of life. Specifically, I've been musing over this idea that the seasons of life are ever changing, and with their shifts, we morph and change too.
I am a creature of habit when it comes to candle scents - I'm a little bit picky, know what I like, and have my seasonal favorites that I rotate in & out throughout the year. However, I am not opposed to introducing something new, and when I find a new scent that I love, you can bet it's coming home with me.
Stripes have forever been are a classic. They are a wardrobe staple and a pattern that offers endless versatility & possibility. I personally have always been drawn to a good stripe, and if it's a blue & white stripe, well I'm done for. I'm a total sucker for classic aesthetics.
As I sipped my coffee this am, I read HWM’s piece about the gratitude prompt “remember when you wanted what you have now?” She walks us through her thoughts on the notion and has a beautiful way of explaining & properly articulating the feelings that I think many of us have. I’m not going to delve into my thoughts on it more because she does such a fantastic job doing so, and also because I think the prompt itself is very self explanatory. I will however, encourage you all to subscribe to the (free!) weekly newsletter for more thought-provoking & inspiring conversations!
Just typing out 2023 relaxes my shoulders and allows me to breath a sigh of relief. 2022 was a lot for me on a personal level, from start to finish really. There were beautiful moments of joy of course, but there was this overwhelming heaviness & at times paralyzing sadness. There was a lot of grief & mourning for a season of my life that unexpectedly & suddenly ended, without an ounce of warning or explanation. A big chapter closed & it took with it one of my most valued and important relationships. To say it was heartbreaking, would be the understatement of the century.
